Mark Neuhoff is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the English Department at Virginia Tech, who is being investigated for allegedly making a death threat against an undergraduate student.
The complaint against Neuhoff stems from a post on Facebook, where Neuhoff is accused of posting the student's picture, name and phone number telling people to "**** her up. Destroy her."
According to a search warrant, and phone records provided by the victim, since her phone number was posted on Neuhoff's Facebook page, she has received more than 70 calls from blocked numbers.
"Mark Neuhoff has been posting hate speech on Facebook under the alias Mark Daniel, which he admitted to the Blacksburg Police Department. Neuhoff's posts contain extreme anti-Semitism as well as racism and Holocaust Revisionism," said a representative of the concerned students who wished to remain anonymous.
Social networking has really brought out the worst in people.
I never understood how someone in their right mind would ruin their future academic and employment life over your personal racist opinions. smh

Atrocities have happened since the dawn of man. Social networking only brought it into the light, where we can readily see it. We should be using this as an opportunity to stamp it out for good.

to his point, social media/internet in general has enabled the already-worst-of-people to speak and act with far less fear of repercussion, and with much greater ease. dude was doing this under an alias online, he knew it was a shitty thing to do and set up that way to avoid being caught
He was apparently a coworker of a friend of mine, everyone I'm still in touch with from college seems to be following this. I will be very unhappy if the school doesn't at LEAST remove this Nazi fuck from his assistantship.
Amazed someone like him even managed to get a job at a campus. But assumingly he didn't preach his thoughts in class... Be curious to see his actual facebook posts and how damning or not damning they are.
But of course why is a TA on a troll facebook account calling out students in that way lmao, that alone regardless of any ideology he holds is grounds for punishment/firing.

I'd be surprised if he wasn't expelled. Doxxing someone like that as an undergraduate would be bad enough but to do that as a TA when you're representing the school?
Sounds like a terrible person and a nightmare of a TA.
