WWE/TNA V1: It's real to me damnit

Don't know how many people on Facepunch actually watch wrestling and for all I know this thread could be a huge failure, but I'm going to make it anyway. I couldn't really decide to put this into General Discussion or Film and Television, but since WWE is a TV show, it fits fine here.

Discuss TNA and WWE's shows such of Raw, Smackdown, Main Event, and Superstar (if anybody watches those) and don't forget to keep spoilers within spoiler tags.
Other wrestling discussions are welcomed too, such as RoH and CZW, or any other that I may have forgotten.

Same could be said about anime. It's mindless entertainment, it's not meant to be sophisticated.

I got back into watching WWE a couple years ago and it seems for every step they take forward they take two steps back. Same annual matches and scenarios every year, Stale faces nobody is into

All the great WWE wrestlers started out as great heels and most of the potential in the company right now are in Rhodes, Ziggler, Sandow, Fandango, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan. Punk finally made that transition a year or so ago but i have a feeling they are destined to screw him up. There are still some good moments and i keep watching RAW (smackdown is unwatchable on the other hand) hoping it get's better but it's not where it should be.

In my opinion TNA is unwatchable for all the reasons WCW was unwatchable. Except occasionally i could watch WCW and see someone like Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Benoit, and be like yeah if they went to WWF it would be awesome. I can't even say that about any of the Wrestlers on TNA. The whole promotion does nothing for me, but that may be because of it's pandering to southern crowds and juggalos.

I saw that live, it was real cool.
I think it was the last match I saw before I went to bed and I thought 29 was kinda subpar except for that match, that was the highlight of what I saw.
Didn't catch Triple H vs Brock Lesnar or Rock vs Cena but I had a sneaking suspicion of who was gonna win that last one, and I was correct.

Now i will agree with the promos, but i have to disagree with you on the overall matchup it was a helluva alot better then there last bout it was alot more intense and alitte more faster, sure it was a finisher matchup but you also have to take into fact rock got injured half way through the matchup so the submissions were going to look like crap cause cena wasnt going to apply anymore pressure onto a already injured rock. Now if you were to see Punk vs Cena now that is were you see cena's true wrestling abiltys shine out they had some kickass matchups

I generally don't like Cena's STF because it really doesn't look like he's applying much pressure, he just makes silly faces.

Not right away thought, WWE was still very watchable until 2009. But it is getting better, or maybe I'm just getting used to how bad it is today.
