Ten years after the 'Phantom Menace' threatened the planet Naboo, Padmé Amidala is now a Senator representing her homeworld. A faction of political separatists, led by Count Dooku, attempts to assassinate her. There aren't enough Jedi to defend the Republic against the threat, so Chancellor Palpatine enlists the aid of Jango Fett, who promises that his army of clones will handle the situation. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan Kenobi continues to train the young Jedi Anakin Skywalker, who fears that the Jedi code will forbid his growing romance with Amidala.

Just when Palpatine is about to be released, Count Dooku shows up. Obi-Wan and Anakin both battle it out with him, but Obi-Wan ends up unconscious. Anakin slices off his head and kills him. Anakin carries Obi-Wan, and Palpatine follows him. They meet General Grievous face to face, and Anakin tries to fly the last half of the ship so that they can safely land on Coruscant. Later, Palpatine starts acting strange, constantly manipulating Anakin into believing that the Jedi Council is against him. Eventually, it is found out that he is the Dark Lord of the Sith. Jedi Master Mace Windu fights him...

Petition to rename the thread 'So, we're some kind of Rogue One?'
Crap
Did we already decide on someone to make the new thread?
Because I just made one too
Apprently there are 3 Twi'leks in Rogue One. I only noticed one.
I don't think Hera counts since you don't actually see her.

I just read on twitter there is one on [sp]The planet where Cassian is meeting his informant[/sp]
[editline]23rd December 2016[/editline]

Now to see thousands of wookiepedia edits happen.
here's something I've always wondered for a while that non of my legends books ever really elaborated, what ARE those markings that appear on the twilek's head....tail things? are they tattoos? slave markings?
I've been thinking about Rogue One a bit more:
[sp]I think a fan edit where some of the opening scenes are reordered and the mind squid scene is removed would solve a lot of the pacing issues with the movie and bring my rating up of it.[/sp]
That is:
[sp]
1. Opening scene before title
2. Recieves pilot info
3. Pilot getting captured
4. Pilot interrogated by Saw, then lead off
5. Jyn in prison
6. Jyn being transported
And then continued from there[/sp]
Honestly [sp]I think it would fix a lot.[/sp]
Pablo clarified that when he said the ending of Rogue One never changed, he meant the final scene.
Also, why exactly [sp]Did Cassian Andor shoot that terrorist guy in Jeddah City?[/sp]
I went to see rogue one again today. There was this little kid in the theatre a few rows back and literally every time [sp]a character died[/sp] She would turn to her parents and ask [sp] "ARE THEY DEAD?!!!!!! " in this really shocked voice.[/SP]
Towards the end of the film, my girlfriend and I could barely hold back bursting out laughing [sp] because of how frequently she was asking.[/sp]
Also, why exactly [sp]Did Cassian Andor shoot that terrorist guy in Jeddah City?[/sp]
[sp]So he wouldn't be captured probably[/sp]
Also, why exactly [sp]Did Cassian Andor shoot that terrorist guy in Jeddah City?[/sp]
[sp] He couldn't escape or fight back with his wounded arm, Better to shoot him than allow the imperials to capture and interrogate him[/sp]
Anyone got some minor Vietnam war vibes from the Battle on Scarif?
It makes sense when you think about how the space battles are inspired by the WW2 dogfights.
Their helmets.
Question: what do you guys think of Star Wars: Clone Wars?
It's honestly one of my favorite things to have come from the prequel trilogy.

Do you mean Star Wars: Clone Wars or Star Wars: The Clone Wars?
Because while both are good CW is more of a style over substance.

I always loved it, but whenever I ask any of my friends they always say it was awkward. I think that mostly comes from how most of it is action; there's lots of scenes of prolonged silence or entire episodes where there's barely any dialogue.
At least it made Grievous a badass, though.
The film was originally the first four episodes of the show, from what I read in "How Star Wars Conquered The Universe". It would have made more sense if it was just the opening slew of episodes for the series, it would have been more forgiveable if it was awkward then.
OP should be updated to include Rogue One.
Yeah I just noticed Rogue One isn't part of the OP
With a new movie coming out every year you gotta keep it updated

Seemed like a copy/paste rush to get the new OP before anyone else tbh

Yeah, mine had Rogue One. :v:
Mine took so long because I was reuploading all the posters to imgur at full res.
so there's a rogue one helmet generator thing on the main site
it's pretty neat, until you decide to actually paste your face into the helmet

I don't think he means the [sp]informant[/sp], if you're asking about [sp]Saw's group, the one guy Cassian shot was about to toss a thermal detonator at the tank where Jyn was taking cover.[/sp]
Some things revealed in the novelization in Rogue One, spoilers obviously (Linked because Thumbnail)

[sp]So we know from the movie that the Exhaust Port was put there on purpose, but the novel goes into more detail, saying they the Death Star had a legitimate radiation build up problem, Galen purposed several solutions, but kept emphasizing that the Exhaust port would be the cheapest and best[/sp]
[The Clone Wars] So, I was following Obi-Wan in an undercover mission to twart a terroristic attack and now I'm sitting through a bounty hunters survival game inside a big cube. Ok.

More Cad Bane though, that's always nice.

I hope we see him in Rebels one day, fantastically fun character.
Are any of the post Disney books worth reading? I like the sound of the Tarkin novel but I have no idea what the quality of the books are like.

Tarkin is great, I'd say most definitely pick it up.

Tarkin, Catalyst, Lords of the Sith, Battlefront: Twilight Company
Bloodlines maybe, if you like politics and intrigue.
