• Can my PC run The Sims 3 fullscreen?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but would I be able to run The Sims 3 decently on fullscreen with these specs? Sorry if I'm coming off as an idiot here, I've mistakenly bought multiple games I thought would run, so I just want to make sure before I buy it.

Fullscreen yes, on medium settings maybe.
yes
maybe but you have to get more monitors
You can probably run it "full screen" but maxing out resolution, textures and so on is most probably way out of your league. I don't give the Sims much attention, but in general integrated graphics will struggle with games running at that resolution, especially when it's one on the Pentium line.
I'm just wondering if I can play it without having to resort to an 800x600 window.
you know you can play fullscreen 800x600 sure it looks ugly but it's functional unless for some reason the sims doesn't allow that

You need a dedicated graphics card.
systemrequirementslab sucks, don't use it. and on integrated graphics, it's a pretty big stretch.
You need a dedicated graphics card.
Would that be super expensive?
Would that be super expensive?
if you only plan on running Sims 3 or non graphically demanding games, you can get a recent low profile video card for around $50 or less
Sims 3 is optimized and coded horribly, even on some great pcs it runs like complete shit.
I can run it full resolution with no problems on similar specs. [editline]26th February 2013[/editline] Also System Requirements Lab is the devil.
You also need faster ram unless you want it freezing up a lot (it tends to do that, even on really powerful rigs). 532 MHz is ridiculously slow. I'm assuming that's a laptop?
Right, bought it. Thanks for the advice.
I have the exact same computer as you, except I upgraded my graphics card recently. You should be able to run it full screen, max resolution on lowest settings just fine. It really isn't that bad of a computer.
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
This website is not good. It tells me I can run everything (most demanding I've tested being Crysis 2) on the 'ultra' settings, highest resolution etc. I'm no fool when it comes to hardware and I knew for a fact I couldn't, bought it anyway and it just about runs all on low. - on topic, my computer is better than the one you have posted and it struggles to run the sims 3. tl;dr That website isn't 100% reliable. My computer struggles to run Sims 3 and I have a powerful(ish) machine.
I swear on my life, I just got this really awkward glitch in The Sims 3 where the pixelation censor on my female sim broke. I wish I took pictures. She had a sweet ass.
Alright, I ended up buying it, and after about 5-10 minutes it stops responding completely, forcing me to shut it down. Anybody know a fix?
That could well just be the game being shit after the newest update. I noticed my Sims randomly crashing ever since that University expansion came out. If your entire machine freezes then it could be overheating but it's likely a combination of an underpowered PC and a badly coded game.
