• How do you do youtube right?

a lot of people tend to hate it when they promote anywhere. but if that's wrong how do you get people to see your videos with you tube's new layout and community? posting videos will resolve in 0 views no matter what the video. so what is proper YouTube conduct that can still result in success?
Make good videos. Seriously. That's it.
Find a niche and produce quality videos. If you're in the youtube scene to get famous and not be proud of the work you're producing, you shouldn't be there. It's not meant to be effortless, most good videos take time to produce. Practice makes perfect.
good videos can get no views

If you're into just making quality content then find your niche and go on it.
good videos can get no views
It takes years to build up subscribers, your videos can and will eventually get views.
Make good videos, but you do gotta self promote. Other people will tell you not to, and hate you for doing so, but if you want to get noticed you have to be assertive about it (or get lucky, it happens). Lots of practice helps with the making good videos. If the videos are good enough, people might not even care that you're self-promoting. Reddit and similar sites can be an amazing tool, an easy way to get tens of thousands of views— or more, from a single website. If you do particularly well on such a content aggregation site, word of mouth can send you even more viewers.
Generally you'll have to self advertise and not care what other people think about it. As long as you can stay happy with publicity you're getting then you should be fine. Even if you're not getting views, be happy with your work and hope maybe one day you'll get your name out there. Until then don't give up. Also, for future reference, if you want people to take the time to read your thread, name it better than "How do you youtube right?"
