• Good Doom WADS?

I found my old DOOM II CD along with 2 addon discs I bought from a thrift store some time ago. I'm running ZDOOM and have 473 WADS from the discs, but they aren't too quality. Anyone know some really good ones? [editline]26th September 2013[/editline] also like 90 of my WADs aren't even loading
Doomguy's Warzone nuts.wad
both of those are intentionally terrible

DoomRPG is pretty cool, Alien Vendetta is a must play, Cold As Hell special edition is well made, Brutal Doom, Demon defense, Project MSX, Russian Overkill, Zero Tolerance, Beautiful Doom, Reelism, stronghold and a ton more, but ive only got the wad names.
will be downloading these i am currently playing through Scythe
Question: Is Brutal Doom simply a .wad, or is there more installation to it than that? If it's only a .wad, that means I could run it on my calculator. My teachers don't like me playing normal Doom II as it is, imagine if they saw me playing that on my calc!

Nope, won't work on it, then. A damn shame. I'll stop hijacking this thread now.
as I've said in a past thread, Project MSX. and here's the forum thread: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=25836 oop late by a tiny bit oh well also, I'll add http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35269 ZDoom Community Mapping Project 2. It's a blast to play, and it has great original music too. It takes place on one, single, gigantic map intended to be a full wad's worth of gameplay.
how do i download the CMP? I tried using it as a SVN
Doomguy's Warzone nuts.wad
That's immediately what I thought of when I saw this thread. Wasn't there some wad where the guy tried to make it as detailed as he possibly could?
I highly recommend the quality mods produced by Dylan and Eric.
My personal favorite
Thanks everyone, if you got more not mentioned tell me, I am looking for more.
The doom mega thread has a nice image full of wads: http://i.imgur.com/Yt6Ku.jpg
Valhalla (there's also another one by the same author) is a rather good one. Requires GZDoom, and makes amazing use of it; dude manages to make it surpass Quake 2 in graphics quality, which is impressive for such an ancient engine. Quite hectic, even more so when you throw Brutal Doom into the mix. Does have a lot of wandering around trying to find the door that a switch just opened, though.
also, I'll add http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35269 ZDoom Community Mapping Project 2. It's a blast to play, and it has great original music too. It takes place on one, single, gigantic map intended to be a full wad's worth of gameplay.
This was really awesome, took me just under 2 hours, thought I was pretty thorough but I've since recalled whole areas I forgot to complete. Only complaint is that it can be hard first time through - a lot of really useful things are optional, and can easily be missed, making things far tougher for you. [sp]Like the severed hand - I did half of hell (got the skull keys) before deciding to turn back due to low resources and found the weapon I should have had the whole time! No wonder I struggled for health so much![/sp]
The download link to the ZDoom Community Mapping Project 2 is dead for me, would you kindly mirror it subenji99?

GREZZO 2.
Thanks sub <3
There really isn't much info that I could find, but for weapon wads give Zharkov Goes To the Store a shot. It's kind of a comedy wad with such wacky things as normal punching getting turned into a mash button to rapidfire combo, with an alt fire that [sp] has you ripping your own arm off and throwing it to the effect of a weaker rocket, you just grow it back and can do it again and again[/sp]. Monsters get new sounds, some of which could be seen as annoying. EDIT: If you couldn't tell by the info I linked being on the ZDOOM wiki, it kind of needs ZDOOM to run. Never tried it on Skulltag or whatever its called nowadays.
If you're into 1v1's, I recommend judas23_.wad, duel32a.wad and a few others I can't recall names. Oh, also try memorial.wad.
zPack is pretty fun to play, although there are some minor compatibility issues with Brutal Doom.
And if you want a good sourceport for multiplayer, drop skulltag/zandronum- Odamex's network code is FAR superior.
