Hey guys, I live in Canada, and the Winters here are terribly cold. My question to you guys are: What are some quality brands/jackets, and where to get em. Some ways to stay cold in the winter Other general tips to fend off the cold
Dude, its Canada. Don't you have your staying warm instincts? Haven't your parents taught you the way of snow pants and toques?! I don't see how you are Canadian.
We have superdry coats here in England, don't know about Canada though.
Oh wow and you say you are Canadian, normal pants and a normal hoodie works fine up till the end of november and december sometimes. Hell, it's already under Zero here.
Some ways to stay cold in the winter Other general tips to fend off the cold
I think you might want to make up your mind on what it is you actually want here.
I know man, White Walkers are terrible up here.
If your ever in a desperate situation, your own urine can be a good source of warmth.
Winters in NY get pretty bad, especially in upstate. But thanks to me weighing nothing, I shake like a dying meth head even with a heavy coat on.
I can't wait till it's impossible to navigate the site because of all the animated snowflakes again.
As a canadian living in Central Canada, where the weather is -10C one day, and 10 above 0 another, I can proudly say that I've been able to survive on a heavy fleece hoodie and a pair of jeans all the way up until now.
i dont even know if we have a winter in southern california maybe it drops to like 70f?
Multiple thin layers of clothing work much better than a single thick one. It's lighter and even more stylish. Scarfs rock too. For instance, use a tight base layer under your shirt / t-shirt, then cover it up with fit fleece jacket and wrap it up with a stylish coat and scarf. That's how i do it.
Summer's coming.
I'll be there soon.
I live in Kansas, winters here are horrible for where we are in the country. Within one week last year it shifted from 80 degrees outside to something like -10 (Fahrenheit)
Summer's coming.
Bitches don't know bout' my southern hemisphere.
Bitches don't know bout' my southern hemisphere.
Seriously, they don't.

The North Face. I personally love hoodies though. :)

Especially the Big Lebowski cuz it takes place in a desert. eh for me most christmas movies fit the times obviously.
Wear fleece cloths, or just go to google and type in "winter clothes" You really didn't need to make a thread about this.
What? Winter isn't coming. You Canadians sure are strange.
It's already snowing in New York...
Tropical summer all year long.
It should be freezing in England by now, or at least just plain cold. Instead outside the sun is shining brightly, it did rain for two night however. I can't wait for winter.
No snow in Italy yet. Summer has been longer than usual.. Yet this morning I enjoyed a nice hot chocolate cup in our local cofee store, "cofee'o'clock". Best way to keep warm..
Finally! I've been looking forward for this.
Stupid fucking mountains get all the fun as usual. I live like 25 miles away from the edge of the <1" part on that map.

If it's quick and easy to put on, and it's rugged enough to survive some wear and tear, and keep you acceptably warm just chuck it on. If you're gonna wear anything tight in cold weather wear thermals; but wear them underneath something thick and warm. What's the point in walking around looking like an absolute tool in the snow with a skin-tight t-shirt and skinny jeans on? It's completely impractical.
My weather is shit right now, it keeps changing between obnoxiously hot and freezing.
