I am in favor of a science custom forum just to separate the scientific threads from the regular threads. It's so hard to find some good interesting science threads when there are GD threads surrounding them.
No, it would just make the idiotic majority of facepunch post things they think is smart.
I'd say yes.
To hard to find interesting science threads by users who have some knowledge in the subject as it is now. It was a Long time since I saw a thread about any of my favourite subjects (Cosmology, string theory, evolutionary biology and so on, I tend to be interested in heavy stuff, as I ask heavy questions).
It would be cool, but knowing the intelligence of the average Facepuncher and how much tempted he is to make a joke just for the sake of it, the forum would be useless.
Only if they include their use of the scientific method in their threads.
I'd love it.
