Long story short, I need two or more reasons that Small Gods would enocurage belief in a deity?
I could also do with some reasons that it would discourage belief, but I might just manage with that.
Any help?

I think the general message is that Gods are created by humans, but in typical pratchett style, he makes this literal, and adds some hilarity.
We make gods as a scapegote for our hopes and fears, and thanks to the diskworlds strong magical feild, they also become real.
EDIT: This was written under the influence if much cider, so any spelling errors are not my faulte.
Except that last one.

If it was meant to be a megathread, or somethink of that ilk, I wouldn't have used the question icon, or posted in Fast Threads.

Damn it. So did I.
Personally, I wouldn't use Pratchett as an example. Being a big fan of his I've come to realise a lot of what he writes is just ridiculous with his "meanings" being incredibly subtle.
I was born on the Discworld.
