You’re optimizing the find-ability of your post.

This is good for when people want to find your post in multiple different places.
For example… Goto to [url=http://i.k8r.us/?source=6dofclsb1z]link[/url] and google the text that you see

You’ll get topics that I’ve started regarding an idea I had to diminish internet spammers. … Which BTW is another brilliant idea. Read it.

So I’m just letting you know I’m making my mark.

So why would you want others to find your exact posts?
maybe you asked a question like “Where can I finds the Molotov.nu RPG sprites?”
And someone comes to that forum post later and sees there are no answers and that it’s like 6 months old. Well they have another chance at finding the answer if they search your SEOT (that’s right hoes, we have a fully short-inized catch phrase thing now)

This is also a nice way of showing people who you’re reaching out to.

Sure, people could find a particular phrase in your post that is distinctly tied to YOU and that context, but how do they know to google it? and even if they do, google will most likely throw in many other confusing suggestions.
