*You wonder why he pulled you over and gave you a ticket for speeding, He just worked an accident where people died because they were going too fast. ... *You wonder why that cop was so mean, He just got done working a case where a drunk driver killed a kid. *You work for 8 hours, He works for up to 18 hours. *You drink hot coffee to stay awake, The cold rain in the middle of the night keeps him awake. *You complain of a "headache," and call in sick, He goes into work still hurt and sore from the guy he had to fight the night before. *You drink your coffee on your way to the mall, He spills his as he runs Code 3 to a traffic crash with kids trapped inside. *You make sure you're cell phone is in your pocket before you leave the house, He makes sure his gun is clean and fully loaded and his vest is tight. *You talk trash about your "buddies" that aren't with you, He watches his buddy get shot at, and wounded in front of him. *You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls, He walks down the highway looking for body parts from a traffic crash. *You complain about how hot it is, He wears fifty pounds of gear and a bullet proof vest in July and still runs around chasing crack heads. *You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong, He runs out before he gets his food to respond to an armed robbery. *You get out of bed in the morning and take your time getting ready, He gets called out of bed at 2 am after working 12 hours and has to be into work A.S.A.P. for a homicide. *You go to the mall and get your hair redone, He holds the hair of some college girl while shes puking in the back of his patrol car. *You're angry because your class ran 5 minutes over, His shift ended 4 hours ago and there's no end in sight. *You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight, He can't make any plans because on his off days he still gets called back into work. *You yell and scream at the squad car that just past you because they slowed you down, He's in the driver seat of the squad car, going to cut somebody out of their car. *You roll your eyes when a baby cries in public, He picks up a dead child in his arms and prays that it was crying. *You criticize your police department and say they're never there quick enough, He blasts the siren while the person in front of him refuses to move while talking on their cell phone. *You hear the jokes about fallen officers and say they should have known better, He is a hero and runs into situations when everyone else is running away in order to make sure no one else gets hurt and loses his life doing it. *You are asked to go to the store by your parents, you don't, He would take a bullet for his buddy without question. *You sit there and judge him, saying that it's a waste of money to have them around, Yet as soon as you need help he is there.
*you wake up in the middle of the night wondering what that noise outside is He bursts in with his buddies and shoots your dog and then you because you had the audacity to ask what he was doing. Sorry, just felt the need to point out that this officer isn't a paragon of all that is good in the world, nor is he representative of the entire police force.
Interesting and with some touching aspects, but I'm not sure why this was posted.
I had found it online, thought it was interesting.
*You get pulled over for no reason What's a black guy doing with a lexus?
I always appreciate cops and the things they do for us. Especially in my town they always talk to the citizens and have daily facebook bulletins. They really put their lives on the line, and sometimes you hear dumbfucks at school calling cops pigs and things like that because they got busted for DUI or possession and sometimes I wanna smack those retards upside the head. They'd be helpless without police.
It really pisses me off how disrespectful people are in regards to the police, or how stupid people act and vent about the cop when it's them who committed what they did.
Some police are absolute bro's who uphold Justice and protect people , some are abusive dick's who became cops for the power. Respect mah authoritah. :v:
That last line, eh... 30 minutes or more on average isn't "soon", especially not in an emergency
FTP nigga mah boi din do nuttin
That last line, eh... 30 minutes or more on average isn't "soon", especially not in an emergency
In what place do you live that they have 30 minute response times? Holy nuts, I cant even imagine that. Around here we're at like 3-5 minute response
The police where I live respond fast....maybe too fast. I remember this time some guy drove through the McDonald's drive through drunk so the cashier called the cops to let them know. Every squad car in Napanee was on him. Like I am not joking, we pull out of McDonalds and his car is surrounded by like, 10 officers and like, 5 squad cars. More pulling in the parking lot as we drive away. [editline]8th April 2013[/editline] guy didn't even have time to drive 5 seconds from the drive through to the exit of the parking lot
I love cops One lives a couple of houses away and because of him I know where they never check speeds :v: [editline]8th April 2013[/editline] I also know a member of the Stockholm bomb squad, he's cool
I wanna be a cop now
Sorry, just felt the need to point out that this officer isn't a paragon of all that is good in the world, nor is he representative of the entire police force.
Theres a good chance theres more good cops out there than corrupt or cruel ones.
I live right round the corner from a police station and regularly see them and politely nod or smile back at them, but I've never really liked them. Maybe it's because they intimidate me, and I guess that's a good thing as that's kind their job, but I've never seen or talked to a copper that I could see as a person, most of them seem pretty robotic. A lot of the people I know talk shit about the police, mostly because they've been arrested for possession and the like, even though they do do an important job.
Police officers are fine, PCSO's are the douchebags.

They kept yelling at him to keep his hands out of his pockets and he was scared shitless because of it lol. IIRC, he said thats why he was going to college in China
I hate it when people generalise and say either all cops are bad or good. The police are normal people so just like normal people some of them are cunts and some of them are p chill.

According to him, the rookies are normally jackasses, but tend to grow out of it. Some of them don't, unfortunately.

I have met some more experienced police that are cunts but also nice ones so yeah as I said you can't generalise.

You can find hundreds of video's where cops abuse their power and hundreds of more video's of them doing their job properly. It's the abuse that gets all the attention though.
