• What type of industrial building is this?

I was looking through generic industrial pictures when I came across this one: It looks very similar to the Combine Factory from old HL2, which is mainly why it caught my eye. I thought that building was just a work of fiction, so now I'm just wondering what exactly the real-life equivalent actually does.
It looks like a Coal powerplant or Cement production facility. It could be either one but reverse searching brings up Coal.
It's a cloud factory. They make clouds.
Where I live there are a lot of those. There used to be a Foundry, but due to the pollution (There used to be a lot of Acid Rains and such) it got closed and turned into a park [thumb]http://www.woophy.com/photos/287/62/large/834711-monterrey-mexico-fundidora-park-used-steel-factory.jpg[/thumb] It's part of a Steel Foundry. But here, we call them "Hornos". I don't know if there is a translate for English.
That's the chemical plant from sonic the hedgehog I'm sorry
sn´p
I live close enough to the industrial part of detroit, and that's looking more like a coal powerplant than anything else.
Definitely looks like a blast furnace at a foundry. [t]http://explorepahistory.com/kora/files/1/2/1-2-4AB-25-ExplorePAHistory-a0b8a5-a_349.jpg[/t]
