I'd say Firefox and Chrome are tied depending on your preference. Followed by Opera. Safari would be next and Internet Exploder 8 would be last. (Not sure about 9 since I haven't used it yet.)

It doen't support apngs, it does support gifs.
Honestly, I don't like any browsers available. Chrome needs work, but I like it. Firefox has better security and add-on support, but is pretty annoying. Internet Explorer has security problems, but is pretty fast.
But I still use Firefox.
