Hearing weird noises in my room at night. - The not-so creepy pasta

So after i stop doing pointless crap on the internet until 2 AM in the morning, i decide to try this thing called "Sleep".
So i lock my computer (gotta hide that porn) turn my AC on, and go to bed. After laying down for a few seconds i hear some weird noises around my room.
Now they aren't exactly creepy, just kinda weird.
I would hear a ticking around my room.
Tick in the corner
Tick under my computer
Tick in the closet
Tick under my bed
Tick from the TV
And last night i heard what sounded like someone scratching their head... Then the ticking started again.
Turning the AC on caused the temperature to fall in your room, causing your furniture and bits of the room to warp by miniscule amounts. The ticking is just the pieces settling into place again after a tiny change.
Might be a silly question but is your house mostly made out of wood?
Could be the wood 'working/shrinking' as your house cools down at night.

Aww beat me to it.
Just shit moving around because of the temperature changing, probably your AC.

But yea, I remember once I slept in a wooden log cabin and the noises of all the logs moving around scared the shit out of me, I thought a bear was trying to break in.
Well that makes sense, but what about that scratching noise i heard?

Oh, that is probably just Jason sharpening the machete. No need to worry.

But seriously might just be something scraping against something else as it shifts into place
Those are just the animatronics starting up... you best stay vigilant for the night. [SP]
Nah, in all honesty- it's just things shifting around[/SP].
its your grandmother crawling around your room with a knife in her teeth
you will be found dead in 24 hours r.i.p

it's a metal gear
try to remember the basics of CQC
the killer was probably as confused by the ticks as you, hence the head scratching

now i have the mental image of a metal gear crushed in a room trying to move quietly.
Hi,
You shouldn't worry much about it.
Your body might've been tired enough to not bother putting your mind to sleep before doing so to itself.
So you were experiencing staying conscious while your body was asleep.
You might meet lots of sensations while being conscious of your body's sleep:
- Non Existing Sounds (Random Sounds like scratching, talking etc.)
- Hypnagonic Imaginery
- Vibrations
- Sensations of touch etc.
The hypnagonic imaginery and vibrations would mostly happen before entrance into dream world aka when your near to rem phase or your inside of it. It would result in lucid dreams i guess :v:
Your safe.
I have pop bottles that always pop when I go to sleep.
When it's dark and relatively silent, you obviously start paying more attention to quieter noises. Any info that your bodily senses can get a hold of, besides the comfy touch of your bed.

Or so I like to think.

Also I once threw one of those small little air-sucking pouches inside a plastic bottle (may come inside sealed packages), and closed it.
It didn't take me too long to figure out what was making that fucking sound.
