• What tablet would you recommend?

I'm looking to buy a tablet, and I'm thinking about this one, but is it too small? I think the medium one is a little too expensive, sadly. Do you have any recommendations or thoughts?
are there any stores or something nearby where you can test them out to see if the small one is adequate?
galaxy tab 10.1. It's not a tablet. It's like a big phone. And it comes with a pen
are there any stores or something nearby where you can test them out to see if the small one is adequate?
I don't think we have a big electronics retailer in Aarhus, not one that displays them anyway.
galaxy tab 10.1. It's not a tablet. It's like a big phone. And it comes with a pen
It looks nice but the price is more than double of the one I mentioned in the OP.
Any one of these should do the job...
Uhh are we talking tablets for drawing or for browsing the web? Because I'm pretty sure the tablet in the op is for drawing. Either way, you get what you pay for. Cheap ones are gonna be junk.

Do you know if the one in the OP is 'junk'? It's a bit small, but is it quality?
I think wacom is the de facto leader in the market but I don't know a whole lot about them my self.
Any tablet that is not made by Apple.
I'd stick with Wacom but go with a one that has a bigger drawing area. I'd say medium for a variety of reasons. I have a small Bamboo-branded one, and I'm not happy.

I'd reccomend one with wider room for the pen, if you think you could spring for it. Or if you're rich as fuck get a Cintiq.

It's pretty clear that he's talking about a drawing tablet. OP, go to the Creationism Corner and ask the same question, they're probably more helpful.
You're kidding yourself if you think the iPad is a bad tablet.
it's made by apple of course it's bad :downs:
You're kidding yourself if you think the iPad is a bad tablet.
apple hardware is good admittedly but the software is shit
I'd go for an Nexus 7, I believe it was just 250 euros in the Google Play Store.
Okay apparently Wacom has changed their product names, so I'll have to redo that here post a little bit. Bamboo (now Intuos Pen/Pen & Touch/Manga) are cheap but as far as tablets go they're not really a good experience. They lack sensitivity and precision and they'll fuck up your wrist fairly fast depending on how you use it since there's nothing more than just the actual tactile surface. The Intuos series (now renamed Intuos Pro) is a much more reliable choice. The small version is really good (you'll never need the medium or large version unless you're actually a professional, for drawing the small version which has a tactile surface the size of an A5 sheet of paper is widely sufficient), it's very pressure sensitive and precise and it has some well needed rounded edges all around the actual tactile surface so you can rest your wrist. The Intuos Pro (which is the Intuos5, they just changed the name recently) is your best bet. It costs a lot, but it's a safe investment and as long as you don't throw it against the walls it'll hold up for several years (I still have my intuos3 and it still works great). Besides, you can still easily find Intuos4 models on Amazon for cheaper, and they're also great. Also just as a reminder (a lot of people somehow don't know this), there is NO GRAPHIC DISPLAY on the tablet itself.

If you had went to the creative section of the forums you'd have gotten better answers, but wacom, cintiq etc. are high-end mostly, worth investing in once you have practiced more. I bought a Monoprice tablet and it has not let me down yet, though I hear people are annoyed at the Stylus that comes with it. Although depending on shipping prices it may not be justified financially.
alright I ordered a small version of the intuos pro, thanks for the help
This one is pretty nice
Text is too damn small and the hue of grey really hurts my eyes when I'm trying to use it at night when I can't see it anyway. 0/10 can't even charge it
The OP is looking for a graphics tablet - not iPads etc.
alright I ordered a small version of the intuos pro, thanks for the help
I guarantee you'll like it. It's tempting to get an intuos pen but it severely lacks in capability and potential - not to mention the razor sharp edges that'll wreck your wrists in about three seconds. Intuos Pros are really cheap for how good they are, they're near indestructible and they're powerful as fuck especially for drawing as a hobby. Just be ready to draw like a sixth grader for a while though because drawing on a tablet requires some getting used to.
