I'm driving to Amsterdam, need good "must visit" places

Pretty much title, thanks. Would also be great if someone could also recommend a good spot to get some really good fish too, especially caviar.
Red Light District?
I was in the airport once and it was alright.
Get some truffles
I dunno where else you're going in the Netherlands but you should go to Maaskantje in North Brabant and see where they filmed New Kids.
The bathroom
The bathroom but stand inside the bowl and piss in the top tank
Truffles and the zoo
Don't go to Amsterdam.
Zaandam, home of everything pure Dutch really. And bully vloggers lol. Other than that, Amsterdam is pretty shit I've been around, it's not great. Too much "lol our country is dank af" stuff, unless you're interested in that. I'd go to other cities really. Can't recommend any as of now, but go to Zwolle if you wanted to catch a drink.
I liked the Rijksmuseum, need a lot of time for that though. So really depends on how long you'll be there.

Leiden and Delft were the places that stood out to me as being "the most Dutch" from my time there, a bit more pleasant to be in than Amsterdam and plenty of good photo opportunities.
Seconded on Rijksmuseum. If you wanted to see the entirety, you would indeed need a lot of time, but you can limit yourself to only one floor and still see plenty.
Scheepvaartmuseum (National Maritime Museum) is also pretty cool if you like seeing old boats.
Don't go to Amsterdam.
Why not?
Don't really know anything to really recommend to go to in Amsterdam, even though I work there. Amsterdam just doesn't feel very Dutch. Rijksmuseum, as suggested, is nice to visit though
and if you maybe want to catch a movie in a really beautiful looking cinema, you could go to Pathe Tuschinski (there's also a tour in this cinema). Rembrandtplein might also be nice to visit in
the evening if you want to catch some food. Kind of depends on what you want to do though and what you're interested in seeing.
And try stroopwafels, poffertjes and salted herring with onions (zoute haring), but leave the pickles behind.
The Anne Frank House... Even though the queue to get in is a BITCH.
There are also shops around Amsterdam that sell everything Marijuana. Marijuana popcorn, Marijuana bon-bons, Marijuana chocolate, Marijuana tea, Grow-Your-Own Marijuana plants... You name it :v:
Why not?
Its like Paris, without the landmarks, 1/3 of the size and with 3 times the tourist per square kilometer.
Just way too busy if you ask me.
Just visit Amsterdam shortly, And:Leiden, The Hague, Scheveningen, Haarlem,Rotterdam instead if you ask me.
All off the above city's are less than 1 hour by train from Amsterdam.

but weed
but weed
Weed is errywhere man
Seriously tho if you go to Amsterdam visit Waterloopplein. Went there with a friend (who is also a facepuncher) and it was really fun
I broke a typewriter :v:
Also Leiden is really beautiful you should give it a go. Only good things happened to me in Leiden
u should buy tons of weed and smoke it all at once
Rijksmuseum, the canals, Anne Frank house I guess
Amsterdam isn't really that cool, you're prolly better off going somewhere else. You can get weed anywhere in the Netherlands, so that's not really an issue
Even Amsterdam itself doesn't want you to go to Amsterdam, going as far as doing things like naming a coastal town near Amsterdam 'Amsterdam beach' on tourism maps to get people to go there
The Hague - Delft - Scheveningen is nice. You can see our parliament building there, the international courts, Scheveningen has a nice beach, in Delft you can see the staircase where William the Silent was shot and also the bullet hole in the wall.
idk the towns themselves might already be a cool thing to look at for tourists
Rotterdam has the busiest port in the Western world, it also is the only Dutch city that has an American looking skyline, that might be cool to see
If you want to see some really typical coastal Netherlands shit you can go to Volendam or something

drink beer and eat bitterballen

Dutch beer and bitterballen. That'd be a great holiday.
Hit up the Heineken factory, the I Amsterdam sign, and if you're going for weed check out the Bulldog. Also the obvious Red Light district but that's only interesting if you're there for the express purpose of tits...
I second Rotterdam. You should visit the Markthal too, the shops inside are a bit expensive but it's beautiful just to look at:

I'll treat you bitterballen if you decide to come to Rotterdam
Thank you all for these great suggestions, I'm actually amazed I didn't knew about half the places mentioned here. But I just have one more question
Is the weed good where ever you buy them or are there some shit shops that I need to know about? My dad needs the good stuff, no mater the price.
Again thank you all
Don't go to Amsterdam.
It's the same as Paris. Don't go to Paris.

Coming from someone who usually buys it on the streets in Belgium, most of it is good. Just don't buy the cheapest they have to offer. Hashish-weed mixes are also lovely. Roll your own joints (or get a pipe or vaporizer, w/e). The prerolled ones I don't like.
The Bulldog coffeeshop is a very famous one in the centre of amsterdam, but I assume its pricey
Honestly if I ever buy weed it's from smaller coffeeshops in the suburbs, and there is no shortage of those either
Fucking hell the roads here are a mess, I should've come here on a train

Do you people actually drive like this?
Just wait till you get a ticket for something, be ready to sell your firstborn to pay for it.
My main currency are firstborns so I'm alright with that
