I'm redecorating my room and it involves a kind of built in bunk bed with some stairs. We've (me and my dad) measured where they need to come out to and how high up they need to be, so I thought it would be a piece off piss finding the hypotenuse. That bit was. Thing is, I now need to find the angle we need to cut at. My question is this; How the fuck do you work out the angle/s of a right angled triangle when you know all the measurements using trigonometry? Reading over this, it kind of sounds like a gimmick thread, but it's not. The measurements are as follows: Height: 164.6cm Length: 116.5cm Hypotenuse: 201.65cm Thanks in advance.
It's been awhile since I've taken trig, but isn't it: arctan(height/length) arctan in case you forget is tan^(-1) on your calculator also called the inverse tangent. EDIT: v v He's right, I'm getting mine confused with the Physics II class I'm taking now.
ms paint skillz. in your case: A = 35.29 C = 54.71
