I need Help Facepunch with finding out about my M1 Garand. I found out it was made in Springfield Armory USA and that it was made between 1953 to 1957. So I was wandering if Facepunch could help me find out more about my M1?
From the information you have given us, I believe that it was made in Springfield Armory USA and that it was made between 1953 to 1957. Thanks for all the info.
How do you wander if Facepunch could help you find out more about your M1?
That's not an actual real life location.

I don't know if there is but the military does keep records theirs got to be something.
because the military is going to have a website with all the serial numbers of all their firearms ever produced? Seems like a bit of a stretch to me.

Maybe but Lets say an allied had gotten killed by friendly fire you don't think there couldn't find out who shot who with what gun.
Also I'm about to go shoot it. Do you guys have any advice?
Yeah, point the open end away from your face.

I found out it was made in 1954 yesterday. So it did not serve in a war.
It is then possible that it sat in storage for awhile, or it was shipped to another country and then the US bought it back at a later date. i.e. a similar purchase was blocked last year by the current administration; roughly 700,000 Garands and 100,000 M1 Carbines from South Korea.
