I'd say cats. But only because I've only had cats as pets. Well that was an easy decision.

Both, and if you don't have a cat and a dog who are best friends you are a dirty plebeian.
You can prefer one, but you can't hate one. Both .
I can't use dogs to silence a shotgun. Checkmate.
Both A dog is easy to win the affection of and can be quite loyal. A cat is harder to earn the affection of, but when you it seriously is a bond that is difficult to describe. A dog will eat almost whatever you give it, including trying to guilt you into sharing whatever you happen to be eating. For an example, good luck eating turkey and cheese around my dog as she will stare every bite down. A cat can be fussy, but when there is something it wants watching to attempt to get it is a sight. My old male cat knocked something down to create a distraction, then jumped up and bit right into a deli bag of ham because he wanted it. Yes, he did spit the bag bits out. And those are just off the top of my head.
cats don't lick your face and they shit in a box rather than all over the goddamn floor
cats don't lick your face and they shit in a box rather than all over the goddamn floor
I have no idea where people get this stereotype that dogs go straight to licking your face, unless you're a little person or you bend over low enough to give your pooch a smooch there's no way the dog will even try, and I don't know what kind of poorly trained dog you've experienced but I've had none of the 12+ dogs I've owned go to the bathroom inside my house, and they're inside for 99% of the time they aren't on walks. I much prefer just letting the dog outside for a minute or two twice a day compared to having to sift through a litter box. Not to say I don't like cats, they're great, but generalizing dogs like that would be the same as someone complaining that cats shred up your furniture or are cold and unemotional, they're not fair examples and are just generally stereotypes from people who have either had bad experiences or no experience at all having them as a pet. Dogs are great, Cats are great. I however, prefer dogs, but if I couldn't have a dog a cat is fine too.
cats don't lick your face and they shit in a box rather than all over the goddamn floor
A dog won't shit all over the floor if you train it. an untrained cat would probably shit on the floor too if you didn't train it.
At least for my current life situation, a cat would be easier to take care of. Moot point atm as my landlord doesn't allow pets. Only ever had cats as pets, loved the little buggers so damn much. Friend's got a great little doggo tho.
dogs [sp]jk obviously cats[/sp]

Cats get you banned. Dogs not.
Thanks to everyone who voted the third option for landing on my ban list!
I own five cats and a dog, and they get along just fine.
But who do you love more
all of them

Cats are okay as long the owner isn't an idiot. same goes for dogs or most domestic animals really.
Either is great, but cats work best with me. They're independent and don't need much attention, though I still drown her in attention anyways. But the fact that she just lays there quietly is good for me. We're both incredibly lazy and it's perfect :v:
I prefer dogs because they're loud and bite people hahahaha they're fucking awesome
:dog:
I like both, except for those small yappy dogs that bark at every single thing. I prefer cats since I've had them all my life.
