• Do games create stereotypes?

I'm doing this for a college project and i think this is the best website for this kind of question :) I think in some cases people that play something like guitar hero alot and listen to its music will follow the image of the characters also, of course this couldnt work with certain games... Please state your opinions thanks. (User was banned for this post ("Not a Question Thread" - Gurant))
It's not just a constant with games only. Some people will imitate people they like, whether they notice it or not. Not everyone is influenced this way though.
Maybe to some uneducated people. Like Russians are all radicals.

They can create stereotypes, sure, but I think other forms of media, especially TV and films, create far more and more vivid stereotypes.

Heh...No this is like asking if Violence on tv creates violent people..Any pile of stunted growth unaware that entertainment is just that and nothing more, deserves to doom themselves to some dank cell, somewhere, for having been so stupid!! Movies, Books, T.V., Music - They're all just entertainment, not guidebooks for damning yourself!
All balding scientists with high-pitched voices like destroying rather than building.
Yes. All media creates stereotypes and plays on them too.
