Help with using computer keyboard as MIDI in FL Studio...

Since the want-to-be admins of this site prevent me from posting questions in their related forums, I have to post this here.

Right now I don't have access to a MIDI keyboard, but I can use my computer keyboard as a substitute. One problem I have, though, is that when recording (mostly samples) I was the note to sustain past when I hold it down. See, it's either I press the key and it plays the until the sample is over or I turn on CRF and it'll just play as long as I hold down the note. I want it to act kindof like a drumpad... or the way an actual MIDI controller should act.
