Does anyone know a good resource for learning ASL?

I am attempting to teach myself American Sign Language, and it looks like the language learning thread died a while back.
So does anyone know any good resources?
Anyone with some experience having learned or tried would be great, since skimming the web I haven't been able to find anything particularly good yet myself.
