• Final Fantasy VII - I think I turned down an awesome opportunity.

There's this FYE Games at the mall I go down to every once in a while, and most of the time they'll always have some guy turn in some neat old stuff that would be great for collectors purposes. So anyways, today I went in to see what they had. I came across a copy of Final Fantasy VII, I game I really liked as a kid but never owned. I know how the game ends, and I know a lot about it, but I never really looked into getting my own copy. There normally is one copy of FFVII to get at FYE, but today I found one that was 39.99USD, the normal is 69.99USD. I was wondering what was so different about the other, so I asked, the cashier said it's in Japanese so the price was lowered because most people don't know any Japanese in the middle of buttfuck-nowhere Connectishit. The guy said it was rare, but I wouldn't understand shit if I didn't know Japanese. This is the cover: How rare is this game / did I make a mistake by not buying it? Help me Helpdesk Face Punch.

I suggest going to a different store if you possibly can. And although the cover looks oddly clean and out of the norm, that version is $20 on ebay.
Well, it's on Ebay, it's always going to be cheaper on Ebay. There's literally no other store that I can go to where I can find some games that haven't been sold retail for years, unless I go to a pawn shop, and even at pawn shops it's going to be difficult to find old games. You also have to take the shipping price into consideration. But they aren't exactly robbing me, I mean it's an imported version of Final Fantasy VII that's still in its original packaging. Was it a new or used copy? I couldn't tell from your post.
It was new, it was still in that folded up wrapper shit.
It was new, it was still in that folded up wrapper shit.
First edition sealed copies are pretty uncommon. I wouldn't go as far as to call them rare though.
