I hope this isn't a fast thread, However I'm wondering what events we will witness in our life time? what do you think will also be achieved by science by the time were on our death bed? as for good / bad events witnessed during my life, off the top of my head first black president world trade center iraq feud felix bumgardner breaking the sound barrier ISS being complete virgin commercial space program probably missing a lot more but what else has happened & might during our lifetime? As for the future... Indefinite life spans, quantum computing, actual useful robots, death of EA, a modern american rail system, fusion power, death of gasoline as a fuel source for vehicles, a solution for Occupied Palestine... I can be optimistic, can't I?

Most likely one or more major terrorist attacks will happen before any of us die.
There's a theory that the first people that will live to 500 years old have already been born (as such life-extending technology may be developed in their natural lifetimes), so there may be so much more we'll be able to see.
