Looking to paint my longboard - want a minimalist design - General

I want something that uses two-three colors at most and uses basic shapes, because I'm using spraypaint and painters tape (so I can't have curves). Does anyone have any good resources where I could get some ideas?

I can offer do do a simple design for your longboard, I'd need some info like the colours available and all that though.

I'd love to do some work for places like skateshops and the like, but there are none around here, so I can't really put my ''talents'' to commercial use. Make sure to share a pic of the board when you get it painted, i'd love to see it!

I have to figure out the best way to paint if first... do you have the project file for your design by any chance? I guess I'll just print out a stencil and mask. Somehow. haha

As for the project files, not really, since the assets I used are free open source images I got off the web while I was looking for some things to test out with your board. I can easily make some things for you to use though, I'd need to know the size of the board and probably some more things i'm forgetting atm. If you want anything redesigned from the mockup I did, don't hesitate to drop me a message, on here or on steam!

I actually just finished up building and painting a longboard out of plywood for the first time, with the help of my dad, I just simply copied a design from a video game. We used painters tape and a husky knife- however, we cut into the wood a little bit, so I'm not sure if using a thinner blade, like an X-acto knife would prevent that, but that's something to think about. But as far as inspiration for designs go, what kind of stuff do you like? Video games, movies, comics, music; etc if you'd want a design inspired by something like that. If you just want general stuff to look at that I thought was cool, there's [url=http://www.elephont.com/artmain.htm]this artist[/url] who did graphic design for quite a few skate companies throughout 99-2010, and most of the stuff is pretty minimalist with few colors, but mostly curved lines unfortunately.
