I have an iPhone 4 but I don't really care what type of tablet is. I want a quality tablet, I don't really mind sacrificing the ability of connecting it to my phone for some more of dat quality. I'll probably get a Samsung galaxy phone sometime in the future so I'd probably prefer a Samsung one anyway.
I'm not going to put a budget because it doesn't really matter at the moment. I want to see the best one and compare prices later.
It would be used for browsing the internet, playing games and maybe even calling people from my house.
Please use Amazon. I have prime on that site and I pretty much use it for everything.
If a iPad is really worth it for the cross between my iPhone and my iPad then please explain why, but, I'd still prefer a [whatever tablet is best.]
Thanks!
P.S it would be a nice bonus if it could also be used as a graphic tablet, but, it's not a requirement.
I have an Asus Transformer TF300T, it's pretty sweet, nice n' cheap, has a quad core processor, and NVidia Tegra 3 graphics. Does the job quite nicely.
If I were you I would go for the iPad, it has much greater resell value (android device price drops a metric ton after a while, where, apple stays high) if you plan to ditch and get something else. And just plain more accessories (like the keyboard stands). Apple also looks classy as fuck.

also if your ipad gets a defect you can just walk into the genius bar place and get it replaced compared to the mailing and all that shit.

I don't really mind too much about the resell value as this thing will probably not be replaced for like, ever.
Being able to replace it like that seems nice though.
ipad. the touch screen is really responsive and the device is fast and simple to use. has a lot of good apps too.
If you want an x86 tablet that runs a full Windows 8.1 install, you could go with the Asus Transformer Book T100. It's about $400 for a 64gb version and comes with a keyboard dock.
I got a Nexus 7 2nd gen and does everything I want it to. Naturally it is smaller in size but is great for browsing the web and playing games I highly recommend it.
The Nexus 7 is the best tablet, period. There's nothing that is better.
get either a nexus 7 or galaxy note or a tablet with windows RT
large tablet? iPad.
Smaller (7") tablet? Nexus 7 or iPad Mini
iPad Mini hands down
I got a surface pro, thing is awesome.
Windows 8 along with the ability to play most videogames off steam.
Got dark souls running on it earlier, shits fun.
This is going to seem biased because of my post data shit, but honestly the iPad Mini is great.
The interface is simple and very fluid (as you should know if you have an iPhone), battery life is incredible (it can last me two full days at uni before it needs to be recharged, and you'll be able to play 3D games for almost a whole day from full charge), camera is good, build quality is good, and there are heaps of apps designed for iPad on the App Store. iOS devices generally get tablet games before Android devices do. There are also tonnes of productivity apps such as Adobe Reader, word processors etc. Best of all the Mini is actually pretty decently priced.
I have a $69 android tablet that I bought off newegg. Works pretty well, can play 3D games, read books, can't watch porn, can browse facepunch, etc.

the fuck thats like half the reason for even getting a tablet

the fuck is wrong with you? the whole point of getting a tablet is so you can load rule 34 of your waifu up on that shit and blow your load all over her. (easy to clean up as well and you can also technically use your erect penis to switch between pictures whilst clopping to bestiality.)
less importantly though. I've been researching it for the past couple days. I'm slightly leaning towards the samsung galaxy note 2014. However I just read someone say surface pro which I completely forgot about and am going to look up now.

1st gen Surface Pro for $600

You lose out on the two-angle kickstand, but it's still a Surface Pro.
not sure if I like it. It seems to be a touch screen laptop without the bulk pretty much. I looked at a few side by side comparisons. It doesn't seem as tablet like as a iPad or a note, if you know what I mean.
In my opinion, it boils down to this: Cost being no object, the Surface Pro 2 is the best tablet. It has far and away the best hardware, an excellent display, and it's extremely durable. However, the iPad is the best tablet experience. It has a far more complete ecosystem of apps, and the experience just flows better. It also has a significantly better display. Android tablets, I haven't really played with much, and all the ones I have have been so wildly different from eachother I can't make any broad assumptions.
