Among the things Guild Wars 2 did right and wrong (oh so wrong), the PvP was one of the things done right. It really does feel like a server based/TF2 esque PvP game, and it's really enjoyable. I dunno about it coming to the esport scene, but it's still fun.

I've always been a PvE only person in MMO's. But GW2 has introduced me to PvP and I absolutely love it.
Back on topic though, this would give GW2 the boost on twitch it needs.

To bad WvWvW was a pile of crap.
GW1 was pretty big in the esports from what I remember (I played GW1 mostly in my younger days though, when I wasn't so aware of the world), so I'm glad that their goal of making GW2 similarly big is being achieved.

the tournaments are actually pretty popular on twitch though, the last one had like 4k viewers
Guild Wars' PvP was amazing. Guild Wars 2 PvP, not so much.
It has its advantages, but overall it lacks a lot of the teamwork and team reliance GW1 had. Either way, I'd be willing to watch streams of GW2 MLG matches. Assuming there was a decent scene for it.
I guess that means I have to start screaming more when I'm winning in PvP now.

they've been gearing up to introduce more gameplay options (including spectator modes) to better accommodate esports, they've stated a number of times that it's a goal of theirs to reach that level.
As a heads up, FP has a Custom Arena (NA, Sorry EU I can't swing two). Just look for the [FP] Tag.
