Are the photos viewed or accessed at all when an AT&T cell phone is replaced?

My screen broke off of my AT&T LG cell phone. I can get it replaced no problem since I have insurance and all, but the account is under my mom's name. As you may have already guessed from the title, you can probably figure out what kind of pictures I have on there.
I don't know how the whole replacement thing works but I'm assuming that when the phone is replaced, after some paperwork they merely transfer the memory components and smart card (or whatever) to the new phone and that will be that.
But to ease my mind I must ask, are the photos accessed or viewed in any way during the replacement? Also since the account is under my mom's name, does she have to be with me when I go to the AT&T store to replace it?
Only the SIM chip is transferred (which contains your account information and contacts if you opted to save them there).
Pictures and such are stored locally on the phone's memory (assuming your phone didn't have a removable memory card slot).

I only saved music on the memory card.
So what you are saying is that I will lose my photos and that I will not have to worry about them being viewed?
Pretty much, there is no cloud (yet) for cellphones.
What was stored on the phone is gone with it.
This is the precise reason I store all my sensitive images/etc on memory cards. Or other removable media...
I would erase it to be safe.

Reread the OP...
Well, at least I'm safe. I got a USB cable thing so maybe I can get the various media files off before I lose everything, although I'm pretty sure I won't be able to access them but it is worth a try.
Thank ye.

You can have them transfer your files from the phone to the memory card/new phone for a fee. At least that's how it works in Verizon. As for if they view it, i wouldn't know as they do it in the back and don't let you see anything.
