Creepy shit you hear at night that nobody else hears - General

Post creepy or strange sounds that you hear at night that nobody else in your apartment building/house/what have you hears. I sometimes hear footsteps going up and down my stairs. I thought it was just my brother, but then it happened when nobody else was home. :ohdear:

My house is 100+ Years old, combine that with my apparent paranoia and I hear shit ALL THE TIME.

Sometimes there are crashes and bangs, to my 8 year old mind back in the day, I always thought it was goddamn E.T trying to break into my house and strangle me with his elasto neck :(

For awhile I heard a loud banging every night at 4am. And of course the voices that signal the loss of consciousness.

I hear screams outside my window, sometimes at night. Might be fighting, or just a lost hobo.

I used to hear noises outside the window when I was 9. I thought it was Slender Man coming to get me.

My grandmother died 3 months ago and I never went to her funeral. My house is a duplex see, and I'm right in between the old house of my grandmother's which is now empty and my house. One night the door opened... like really slowly. Creepiest thing I've ever seen. I still can't sleep because of it and it happened a month ago.

I have a loud fan in my room. Also, it just so happens that I have the AC unit right in my room.

Late at night sometimes I hear really loud banging sounds, like someone punching the side of my TV.

Yesterday, it was a sunny, i couldn't dream of a better day, i did great things all dayand then got drunk at my friend house. But them when i came back, i know something was wrong, i had this feeling that i was being violated, trepassed inside of my own mind and body. So i ran downstair, and lend a ear to what seemed to be a repetitive sound. At first i could not say what it was. But as i got closer, i closed my eye, and then i heard it. A strange scratching noise inside of my room, like if a squirrel/rat is in the wall trying to get out of the house on in my room.

about 7 years back, i was sleeping over my friends house for his birthday along with like 4 other people, and at night, half asleep, i swear to god someone started murmuring "penispenispenispenispenispenis" really softly. No one else heard it but me D:

I used to hear music/talking (like a radiostation) coming from the corner of my room at my old house. The corner was empty, there was no radio over there, or anywhere near it (in fact, the only radio we had at the time was the car radio).

When I was little, me and my brother shared a room and we had bunk beds. Sometimes he would go and sleep in my parents room because he was a little pussy and would leave me in the room by myself. If I slept on the top bunk, I would hear noises underneath me, like someone was on the bottom. If I slept on the bottom, I would hear noises above me, like someone was on the top. I would lay in bed praying and sweating, and was scared until I fell asleep.

One time I tried to call my mom (and I know I had the right number because I used the caller-ID thing to autodial it) and was greeted with a female voice yelling "BATTERIES!" before the line cut off. When I redialed the number, it went to my moms phone (as it should have) and she said the phone didn't ring the first time.

I used to hear " Scrunch, Scrunch, Scrunch" and I thought it was someone walking slowly up to me and I could hear them on the carpet. I later figured out it was my eyelashes hitting the sheets over my head. :byodood:
