• Weird Origami Thing! What is it called?

Ok, at school, a kid pointed out this weird multi-triangle thing hanging from a TV. She asked the teacher, and she said it was an extra credit question, if you find out what it is. So, she gave us some help, and told us to look in an origami book for the answer. Well, as you can already assume, I am fucking lazy. So I came to my local forum site, that would be Facepunch, and asked (as you already know). So I will get or draw a picture close to what it is. And if anyone at all can tell me what it is, then that would be great. I know, I am very, very bad a drawing.
It is clearly an explosion that happened in a paper mill.
A star?
A star?
No, it'd have a specific name.

No I think it's the Small Stellated Dodecohedron http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_stellated_dodecahedron [editline]10:06PM[/editline] No, it's the Great Stellated Dodecahedron. Definitely. Not for your lazy ass reward.

Thank me. :frown:
Thank me. :frown:
I am debating whether it's a small stellated dodecahedron, or a great stellated dodecahedron. Or if she'll just accept a nonconvex uniform polyhedron. BTW Thanks, you really did help. Sorry that it took me a while to respond. ;)
The great one has more pronounced spikes. You won't be wrong to go with it. :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonconvex_uniform_polyhedron icosicosidodecahedron, dirhombidodecahedron
Thanks too. :banjo:
Great news everyone! She accepted: Nonconvex uniform polyhedron! Thanks to everyone. :tiphat:
