Further back? We've already seen the crusades, so unless they want to go Feudal/pre-Feudal...wait...Ancient Rome could be interesting. Or, Han China.

Three Kingdoms China would be nice, at least as a Dynasty Warriors fan. The problem with going back in time, that there are less tall buildings when designing a city, everything would be a little flatter in general. I hope they work it out somehow. We still need our "fully settled in modern days" Assasins Creed.
Please have Egypt. I wanna sneak through a sand storm and decimate my target's entourage one by one.
Slow down, they've only just released the trailer for AC3
Caveman Creed
Assassin's Creed: Caveman Edition Fuck, ninja'd.
And now they fight over the first fire ever.
I'd like to see Victorian London.

So much for that dev that said Assassins Creed was going to be a Trilogy, guess money took over that idea.
I'd like to see Victorian London.
You play Jack The Ripper, out to destroy the matriarchal prostitute Templars. Awesome.
So much for that dev that said Assassins Creed was going to be a Trilogy, guess money took over that idea.
As long as they keep making great games, I don't care. It's when they don't stop making bad ones, however.
I'd like to see Victorian London.
steampunk-esque assassins I'd put up with ubisoft's terrible DRM just for that
So much for that dev that said Assassins Creed was going to be a Trilogy, guess money took over that idea.
Beat me to it. Seriously, the games are cool and all, but they're really milking it now. I stopped playing after 2, I may get 3, but I really didn't want any more of the same thing in the same setting for 3 more games.
I'd like to see Victorian London.
Yeah the buildings would go with the game, but England is boring.
i was gonna say "geez why don't they just make a game fully featuring desmond" but then i realized that would be really really boring compared to victorian london or whatever
Assassin's Creed: The first assassin's (Adam and eve)
So much for that dev that said Assassins Creed was going to be a Trilogy, guess money took over that idea.
It was already a trilogy when AC2 came out, if you count the DS installment.
Anyway, I think a Chinese based game that follows Jun (from Embers) or some related thing would be awesome. And it would make her inclusion in the canon seem much more deliberate.
First time I out-ninja'd somebody! Yay!
Good job, son. It's all part of becoming a man. *tearsofjoy*
What they mean by trilogy is Assassin's Creed 1 - Sub games - Assassin's Creed 2 - Sub games like Brotherhood and Rev - Assassin's Creed 3 - Sub Games - Each major game sets the story and setting for the games that follow under its name.
My automerge -__- But yes, I understand now. Thank you :)
Or they could do that China - Japan rape war .
Winding polluted streets, packed and miserable populace, violent and desolate criminal organisations, huge factories with massive chimneys and tall buildings, a government in flux with a constant shift in values and ideas as empire, technology and society all move faster than ever before. Victorian London is bloody fascinating.
Climbing fucking Big Ben...

Victorian London is bloody fascinating.
Combined with the industrial revolution, it makes up for some creative kills.
Or they could do that China - Japan rape war .
So what does the Assassins use as a hidden blade...? Oooh.
In Assassin's Creed: Embers, this one Chinese Assassin has foot-mounted hidden blades.
She needs to be the subject of the 4th installment. Like I said, It would make her inclusion in the canon seem much more deliberate and it would be a good chance to include the old Ezio.
Uh, she literally meets Ezio for like 2 days before moving on, with him dying very shortly after.
I never said he needed a major role. Just a nod. Doing it subtly would be pretty cool.
