What came first? Chicken Vs. Egg Ultra-showdown - General

The age old question... A dog fucked a mouse and the mouse had eggs instead of baby mice, and the eggs hatched into mini-chickens, which eventually evolved into fully grown chickens. Therefore, the egg came first.

Species existing before the chicken laid eggs, therefore the egg came first, but if it is a question pertaining specifically to the chicken egg then one must decide when the modern day chicken's ancestors could be considered chickens. Otherwise, this question has no definite answer.

Egg came first. Natural genetic mutations. Chicken-like bird lays a VERY slightly mutated egg, which contains what we call a chicken.
