I have some favorites:
PAYDAY 2
Garry's Mod
Red Orchetra 2/Rising Storm
Metro 2033
Insurgency
Counter Strike: Source
Counter Stirke: Global Offensive
The Sims series.
I may not play them as much as other games, I only tend to go back to them in sporadic bursts. But they're so unique and were a huge part of my childhood.
Mine-Craft
Max Payne
Payday 2 and TF2 for multiplayer, Skyrim for single player. Also SCP:Containment breach if i'm in the mood for getting scared.
Probably Mount & Blade warband. I love it mainly for the tons of mods and replayability of it. Although I am refusing to play it because of an annoying glitch I keep getting in all my games now.
System Shock 2, Deus Ex, ArmA series are probably my top 3
Then, in no particular order, some being dead;
Space Beast Terror Fright,
Gmod
Counter-Strike series
Hostile Intent
Freelancer
The entire Earthsiege/Starsiege/Tribes series. Except Ascend. Fuck Ascend.
Mechwarrior 3, 4 and Living Legends
Half Life: Firearms and Firearms: Source
Jagged Alliance 2
Project Reality (particularly before 2013)
Left 4 Dead 1&2
Rainbow Six, including and prior to Raven Shield - Vegas 1 & 2 were alright, but they were barely R6 games in my eyes.
True Combat: Elite
XCOM EU/EW/LW
Ground Control
Fallout NV (As much as i fucking despise several important aspects)
Flatout 2
Star Wars: Republic Commando
STALKER series
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War series
Killing Floor (I need KF2)
Deus Ex: HR
Battlefield series up to 2142, 3 was p.good too but not as.
Metro series
Mass Effect series
FEAR
Half Life obvs
Freespace 2
The entire GTA franchise except the DS or mobile games or whatever they were, chinatown wars and liberty city stories
Red Orchestra/Darkest Hour - Probably more nostalgia than anything at this point. I'd put RO2/RS on here but the disappointment of what it is vs what it so easily could've been outweighs the enjoyment i got out if it.
Unreal Tournament 99/2k4
Quake 3
Aliens vs. Predator 2
Interstate '76
Echelon: Wind Warriors
I know this is a long as fuck list, but all the games here are ones that have held my attention for a considerable amounts of time and/or provided an experience much better than average. If I like a given game any less than these, I'll have played it for no more than a few hours
Binding of Issac: Rebirth
Age of Mythology
zumas revenge 2
Good Candidates in no particular order:
Mount & Blade: Warband
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
Garry's Mod
Dota 2
Killing Floor
Kerbal Space Program
XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat
The Binding of Isaac
My favourite PC game is probably S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, but I hardly play it anymore due to lacking replayability. There's lots of cool mods out there to try, but most of them are still unfinished...
I'd probably have to go with Doom, replaying it never gets old.
Super Deep Throat
Because somebody had to say it.
I have no favorite, but here goes.
System Shock 2, it's aged bad, but it gets me tense as shit. I didn't play it till long after release but it will go down as one of my favorites. The whole spooky survival actually gets me jumpy, and I love listening to the audio logs, deciphering what happened. And SHODAN is obviously an amazing antagonist.
Doom/Quake/Half Life, for me these games are consistently fun every time. Not bogged down by a pressing plot, they have fun weapons and enemies that's are actually interesting to fight because they all behave differently.
Garry's Mod, I don't play anymore but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a huge part of my life at one point. The amount of stuff to do is nigh endless. Name another sandbox like it.
Civilization, easily one of my favorite for always being stimulating. It's an easy time sink that sucks you in for the day. So many complicated systems to manage and strategies to maintain It also doesn't need more than a mouse to play leaving a free hand for a large bag of chips.
XCOM EU, another game that gets me tense. So many subtleties to your tactical strategy keep the game from getting stale. Also a huge time sink, and doesn't need more than a mouse, so snacking is convenient.
FTL, a fun game that is small and sweet. Managing your small ship against random encounters that work against you.
Planescape Torment probably. Because I'm in my thirties and an elitist snob.
Currently I've been playing a lot of H1Z1, I'm so addicted to it. In my opinion it's one of the best "Open World Zombie Survival" games out right now.
If we're talking about overall favorites, then they would have to be Heretic II, Quake III Arena, Soldier of Fortune 1 & 2, Hexen, Doom, or RUNE.
Planescape Torment probably.
this and Baldur's Gate II

Killing Floor 2.
I love how visceral the combat is. In term of game feel, it simply cannot be beaten. Every shot to the head on a Zed is received with a crack to the head. Or a parry with a sword is received with a ping and a enemy flailing backwards.
It nails exactly what Killing Floor 1 did and absolutely perfects it. Even if it's in early access, i still have a blast loading it up from time to time. It's much faster but that makes it all that more intense to have those moments of slow mo so much as it's a moment to just survey your surroundings and check if your being flanked or a moment to use your slow mo ability.
The classes work so much better than KF1, instead of having just a single class with passives. I'm switching out perks for each level of my play. (early, mid, endgame.) The inclusion of class starter weapons is great at characterizing a specific class and instantly shifting the player into that role. The leveling system and the xp progression is a bit slow in places but it greatly rewards those who feel adventurous and want to move to higher difficulties, which is a much more welcome system than the one from KF1.
I am passionate about this game because it literally was everything i wanted from a sequel to killing floor 1 and more than so.
It's light on content but i find that more importantly its more fun than anything that i usually play that has heaps and heaps of content. (Warframe,PD2.)
Garry's Mod
The Movies Game
The Sims series
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis
Doom with wads. Loads of wads.
Half-Life and Quake with mods. Loads of mods.
Civilization IV and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Alien Crossfire.
Openspades (classic/non-jagex Ace of Spades 0.75/0.76 with graphical enhanchment.
GTA San Andreas.
And most of the sandbox games where you can do whatever the fuck you want.
