I'm wondering, because I recently bought a Civilizations game on the iPod, and I fucking love it. I was wondering if Civilizations IV is good, because I'm thinking about buying it. I'm not asking Facepunch to choose for me, I'm wondering if FP thinks it's worth the $20.

Yeah, it gets boring real fast in the beginning of a match since you can't afford to create some awesome fights or travel long places, but towards the end, you will be having a lot of fun as you bathe the planet in nuclear fire.
Civ 3 is the best I think.
If you do get Civ 4 make sure to get Fall From Heaven 2.
