Can anyone help me find a program that can convert a VLC file into an audio file?

VLC player probably can, It converts pretty much everything else.
Downloaded the program, but I cant find a decent tutorial on helping me converting it into an mp3/wav.

Media -> Convert/Save.
Keep messing around, until you find the correct one. If you know about the formats and stuff, you should get it on your first try.
Saves the file as a ps for some reason. Any help?
That is a mpeg format, try renaming it to mp2. If it is what I'm thinking. Then convert it to mp3
