I'm not sure if there's even a community anymore for this game... (it's quite old) but DAMN was it fun back in the day. If you get a group of friends to buy this, you guys will have a BLAST. Seriously, one of the most fun MMOs out there specifically because: 1. The level cap is very easy to hit, meaning end game content is available in approximately 7-10 hours. 2. Playing with friends is great fun 3. The expansions add a ton of story and new items Seriously though, the fact that the community might be dead (I haven't played it in years) is the only reason why I wouldn't recommend this game.
PvP is empty and most missions you'll have difficulty getting players to join you unless it's a daily quest. Ignoring that it's a fantastic game I've played on and off for the last 8 years. Content is refined for solo or party play and building your characters skills has surprising depth. [editline]forgetting best bit[/editline] oh and the soundtrack is by Jeremy Soule
lvl cap can be reached in ~7-10 hours
Level never really mattered all that much in Guild Wars. GW2 doesn't put a lot of emphasis on it either.
In GW Prophecies it took you all the way to Kryta (~10 missions) to get to the level cap, in Nightfall it took until the end of the tutorial :v: Dervish masterclass. [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] Never beat Prophecies either, only Nightfall and Factions.
lvl cap can be reached in ~7-10 hours
Thanks, fixed the post.
The best thing about GW is that you can literally make whatever kind of character you want since when you pick your character class, you can also pick a secondary class so you're able to scale up another class's attributes and use their spells. The customization available is INSANE. For me, this is the reason GW2 was so disappointing. It didn't offer this at all. In fact GW2, just felt like typical boring MMO bullshit to me.
Damn if Guild Wars wasn't one of the best games back in the day. Bought all Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. Fantastic game if there's still a community for it (doubt it since GW2 was released).
Factions was very meh. Prophecies and Nightfall were great, though. And it was graphically gorgeous at the time. Still not bad at all in places
Eye of the North added a ton of end game content, which was really nice especially since you can reach the level cap so easily.
Guild Wars 1 HD version Remastered please!
Guild Wars 1 HD version Remastered please!
That would be absolutely amazing, but I doubt it'll ever happen unfortunately.
