believe the 'hype'. (even though alot of people are saying it isnt that good). It is sad though that many people pre-order, thus keeping the shit alive.
It is sad though that many people pre-order, thus keeping the shit alive.
They had an open beta, those people had plenty of time to try the game and then Pre-order.
I am a Titan who punches people with a fist that usually causes them to disintegrate in a cloud of lightning. There are definitely some problems with the game but it's still good. Loading times and the stupid ass MMO hub are the 2 worst things I can think of.
is it any good though
is it any good though
I felt it was over hyped honestly. I didn't find myself hooked in at all except that It was Bungie who made it.
I felt it was just a tiny bit overhyped as soon as it was announced, then i never really gave a fuck about it again. When a really huge multi million dollar budget game is coming along, i prefer to watch from a distance with a neutral opinion that isnt tainted by me being overhyped followed by dissapointment from a game that could never live up to the hype in the first place. Besides, i dont own any current gen consoles so i couldnt play it anyway. But i like to stay neutral for as long as possible.
is it any good though
This complaint about the game seems most common:
I don't feel like i am doing anything in these missions, it seems to be move from point A to point B while killing everything, then have your robot hack something then just keep moving forward killing. Ghost rattles on about how we are protecting the world, but your heroism or your victory doesn't seem to mean anything in the game. Most of the missions i have played feel completely disconnected from everything else.
Maybe the main meat of the game lies in mp, idk.
is it any good though
I didn't hype myself at all and only played the beta. Surprisingly the game was really fun, especially if you play with a buddy or two. It's just a blast to mow through hordes while looking all badass and riding on your hover bike. It has satisfying guns and some cool looking armor, the rpg mechanics are pretty similar to Borderlands but the drop in and drop out world makes it more interesting. That said I believe that you won't any good narrative storyline in Destiny, also the nature of the game is somewhat repetitive which is fine by me though because just playing with friends is amazing.
I kinda enjoyed it. I wasn't exactly hyped until I played it. I guess it's because I really liked Halo and this felt like a throwback to Halo 3 engine wise. It felt like I actually wanted to play it. Especially with friends. Solo was eh, but I guess alright. But as what people said, the missions itself are just dull, and it's just repetitive. [editline]d[/editline] I guess what I mean is, it felt like I was younger. 5 years back in time. When I played Halo for the first time. It excited me.
Hyped of course, but I really enjoy the game.
It's not bad, the shooting aliens in the face part, i.e. what you spend 90% of your time doing, is very, very good. It would be a lie to say there are no glaring problems with the game in some aspects, but shooting mans is good.
This complaint about the game seems most common: Maybe the main meat of the game lies in mp, idk.
That reminds me of Titanfall's "campaign", where the players have no effect on the story. The story would be no different if the players were removed entirely since the set characters are the one doing all the real work.
But it's not really like that.
I'm only going by what I've heard about Destiny. I've never followed it during development, but I was curious how it fared. From my understanding, the gameplay seems to be solid, but everything else seems to be meh.
Its good, I just don't understand why Bungie marketed it as some groundbreaking and wholly unique experience. Its just... Not.
Its good, I just don't understand why Bungie marketed it as some groundbreaking and wholly unique experience. Its just... [editline]10th September 2014[/editline]
From my understanding, the gameplay seems to be solid, but everything else seems to be meh.
Not really, everything is all around great, people expected a richer story and that's what many people are complaining about.
I was the only person at Bestbuy waiting in line for the midnight release. For NHL15. Fuck destiny. I need my hockey.
I was the only person at Bestbuy waiting in line for the midnight release. For NHL15. Fuck destiny. I need my hockey.
Then post in NHL threads about NHL.
Alot of my current issues with Destiny have to do with the Endgame,Bosses and PVP. Im going to have fun with it but im not sticking around to deal with the pain of having to reach endgame for now until there are at least a few established raids available.
-snip, you changed your post-
can some of that $500M go to halo pc?
can some of that $500M go to halo pc?
Bungie and Activision have no control over Halo.
Its good, I just don't understand why Bungie marketed it as some groundbreaking and wholly unique experience. Its just... Not.
I beg to differ, I think it adds some cool elements to the shooter genre even if they are not that groundbreaking by itself. I have to say that Destiny is the first shooter with rpg elements that I fully enjoy.
Then post in NHL threads about NHL.
Somehow I knew you were going to say something based only on your avatar. I was there with my friends who picked up Destiny... I was just there for NHL15. They tried to sell us a white PS4. No thanks.

And raids will be available in 2 weeks with a level 25 req. I got NHL too I'm having a hard time spitting my time between both games.
yo i think he was joking
So far the negative response to this game that I've heard have come solely from people who willingly played it solo. Well, no shit. Playing tennis with a wall is repetitive and grindy too.
So far the negative response to this game that I've heard have come solely from people who willingly played it solo. Well, no shit.
