• Unreal Engine?

Hey there guys/girls. So I've always been interested in making games and such. I started with Byond around 6 years ago and progressed as a Iconner (Graphic Artist) there. It was fun, but a waste of time in my opinion. I started with Torgue 3D three months ago but the results there were not so...nice. A game yes, but nothing unique. So now a week ago I got myself the UDK, Unreal Development Kit. The tool that games such as Gears of War was made with. It's nice...I guess. But I have two questions. One: Do I need to get a modeling program at the side to actually make my own graphics. Two: Does anyone have some good tips or links for me to start with? My brain became a smoothie when looking trough it.
I can't remember if UDK contains a model editor or not, but AFAIK it does... burrowed somewhere. You should read the tutorials on the UDK website, and you should also look at modding tutorials for Unreal Tournament 3 (as the tools used are largely the same).

But before I read them fully out I like having some "backup" knowledge, seeing that the tutorials that the tools companies make are commonly really retarded and complicated. But I'll check the UT3 Tut's.
