Yeah, just got an email to reset my password. Very good news that no payment details were stolen.
FUCKING HACKERS
terrorists of a new millenium
"No personal payment information is stored with Ubisoft, meaning your debit/credit card information was safe from this intrusion."
That's good
I'm not even sure if I have a Ubisoft account though, but if no payment details were stolen don't have much to worry about
No emails from Ubi, but changed password anyway. My Trials Evolution is safe.
Also the site works like shit for me.
With all the hacks I have taken it upon myself to change all my passwords once a year.
The website's under maintenance/unavailable for me.
why is the ubisoft hatetrain still on? theyve gotten much better

Bored fellas
Well shit...I'm glad I didn't buy anything from them directly

They're still fucking up. Might and Magic: Heroes VI went on sale a couple months ago on Steam. Nobody could play it because their shitty UPlay DRM couldn't accept the keys properly and it took them 2-3 weeks to get everyone's game working. By that time, I completely lost interest in even wanting to play it and uninstalled.
It's good they're honest about this getting hacked though, but I can't say I like Ubisoft. When I buy a game I just want to play it, not get cockblocked out of my content for weeks all because they can't get their UPlay shit working right. The fact the game is over a year old and having that happen anyway just makes it more pathetic.
The whole event went completely under FP's rader, but this article sums it up: http://www.gameskinny.com/kp3xn/ubisofts-heroes-6-unplayable-if-bought-through-steam and a followup: http://www.gameskinny.com/g2wak/ubisofts-heroes-6-still-unplayable-but-support-is-worth-a-laugh
I really hope they'll at least let me log in so I know what my password is.

so even if you did your still fine.
If anyone who wants to reset their password finds himself unable to do so because of a "nocookie" error, please try to reset it while using your browser incognito mode. As ironic as it sounds it actually works.
well i don't remember what password i used on uplay.
Problem is through they say that payment details are safe etc. when emails and passwords linked to Ubisoft have been taken; all it takes is for someone to have a linked paypal to an email address and the same password throughout many accounts.
Not that many of us have the same password for everything through (I hope).

I've had the same problem, followed the instructions and changed my password but I don't even remember what the compromised password was. Support center can't tell you either. Bugger.

if that's the case then you should really just switch emails on your paypal, that is if said people are worried about their cards enough.

No they have not, they've simply become more savvy in their marketing approach.
Same for EA.

Just pointing out that Ubisoft shouldn't be luring people into thinking there card details are safe especially if said user has a common password among accounts linked with their email address and their Ubisoft account. At least there telling everyone to change the breached password over anything that it may share with, althrough I can't even remember what it used to be.
At least they let everyone know as pretty much as soon as it happened. I hope.
I received an email earlier; reset password to be safe. Haven't played an Ubi game in a long time, but still wanna keep my assets safe.

yeah, I get ya I had completely forgotten about paypal linking.
Best thing to do would be to change your email address password(s) to something new. As most changes (if not all changes) to any accounts linked with your email address(es) send a notification notifying you of any change to the accounts in question.
In my opinion anyway. Besides if you have a strong password it would be harder to decrypt then a simple one especially how they're making out to be a wide range of users, said person won't sit and decrpyt every single users password individually, I suspect he will spill the data online soon enough.
I've been playing CBT of The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot hour and a half ago, and everything was fine.
Calm down guys, its all just a marketing campaign for Watch Dogs.
Oh fuck.
