Google Surveys is a good app to use to earn some money to buy the occasional app. I think I earnt about £30 over the past 6 months by doing very quick surveys every other day or so. Usually get between 7p and 30p per survey.
Other than that, webcamming is pretty profitable if you're a girl and don't mind masturbating 20 times a day. I had a friend that did that and she saved up enough to buy a brand new BMW. Crazy amounts of money

I made a lot of money buying/selling TF2 items years ago. I wouldn't recommend it as a consistent source of money though unless you're willing to put a ton of money and time into it. And even then, the market now is probably shit.
