I love creating fictional universes and the things inside of them. I was wondering if anyone here liked it as well? If so, I'd really love to start working on some stuff, I have a few ideas and a few things that I want to get off the ground. Mostly, I'd like to focus on the science behind a few things as well as focusing on the fictional aspects.
I'm actually working one something right now. I like working on the political and social aspects of them. These countries don't like these for these reasons and that kind of stuff.
I do sometimes, but I never really flesh them out past a basic concept.
To a degree when I do history RPs I think I do.
Making a coherent and balanced world out of nothing is kinda hard. But is also VERY fun, working on even those details nobody is going to see, just to give the world some extra depth

I made a fictional world of gypsies inspired by Eastern Europe for an English paper one time.
There was a feud between neighbors and the size of their potato/other vegetable crops.
Oh and most people were illiterate; though the main character's favorite hobby was looking at pages of books while sitting in a lawn chair in his shack.
Well, my plan was to create a separate forum just for it, like some sort of free forum, we could do it there, and have all of the ideas a bit more organized. Whaddya think?

Okay, I got the name of it. Stelaksi. "Two of the Star, two of the moon" Translated between Finnish and Latin, I got it. A combo of 'Moon Star' and 'Double'.

I love creating fictional universes! There is one I have been thinking of for the past 5 years or so where Earth is evacuated in 2080 because of a really bad natural disaster of some sort, and they went to some planets that were tossed into the solar system because of a distant star having a supernova a long time ago. There is Valcais A and B, "Planet Brutality" which is ruled by these orange, 9 foot tall, 4 armed creatures known as Kinayans, or "Brutes". There is also Alplasia and Alandoff, which have been mostly settled into. There is also gigantic insect creatures on these planets because of high oxygen volume. I could be writing about all the ideas, but I would probably get carpal tunnel syndrome before I even write down half of my ideas.
I am thinking of making it into a game kind of like Fallout sometime in the future.
Sounds like fun, I love creating these kind of things. Might have to make it a little project of mine for the next few months.

I do this a lot, recently I started working on this fictional universe with the intention of eventually writing a story along the lines of 'space max payne' inside it
I once created a fictional medieval world, never really got deep into it though
there's a tabletop system that plays like a board game about building worlds.
