Soda is clearly the superior name.
I call it Pop. All of my family have called it that ever since I was little, Even when I go to my buds house, it just sounds wierd hearing them say 'soda'.
Pop is for Washingtonians.
Ive always prefer to call it by a specific name. Example: Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew. Etc. But sometimes I call it "Soft Drinks" For me, soda just reminds me of carbonated water (I don't like that stuff.)
A drop of fresh cut spring flowers spewing across a babbling brook with a hint of lemon.
Soda, because it has Soda water in it goddamnit. (Carbonated Water)
I call it Pop. When you open a can of soda it goes "clinkclik TSCHSHH" When you open a can it goes "crikTSCHSSHHHH" When you get it from a fountain it's like "tscshhhhhhhh"
Soda.
I say pop like a Saginaw, Michigan fag :unsmith:
Fizzy drink, or maybe soft drink if I'm at a restaurant or cafe.
A drink?
if im not calling it by its specific name, I just call it a 'drink'. Simple reason.
I call everything liquid that I drink "beverage"
Ive always prefer to call it by a specific name. Example: Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew. Etc. But sometimes I call it "Soft Drinks"
This.
Soda. I don't know a single person who calls it 'pop'.
Soda or pop, depending on the mood I'm in. Nobody should call it cola, as that's the name for a specific type of soda. It's like calling A computer tower a CPU.
Soda. California, USA.
Piss
Piss
Shit you're so trendy it's almost sarcastic. (Oh wait) Anyhoo, I usually call it by brand name.
I call it all Coke. [editline]11th March 2011[/editline] Related for those of us in the US: [editline]11th March 2011[/editline] I think the Cola option is a bit strange. Cola is definitely defined as Coke, Pepsi, RC, and similar drinks.
I usually call it "brus"
fizzy drinks
I call it 'A hurricane of sweet bubbly awesomeness'.
I call it frisdrank.
In Israel the traditional say is "carbonated drink" when speaking Hebrew, so that's how I call it, and Soda in English.
Fizzy drink.
汽水
Soft drink
Soft Drink; the soda is the carbonated water part, so to me, asking for soda is asking for carbonated water, without the syrup.
I call it by the drinks specific name, or if speaking generally I'll refer to them as soda
Soda in english in finnish it has few terms for it that i use..
