Does anyone own this? It looks interesting, but the reviews are mixed.
I love me some LOTR shit but yeah, mixed reviews, opinions?
I don't know anyone who bought this, and I'm a bit curious to know what it's like as well.
I've been playing this co-op with a friend on PS3 and although it's not the most polished game out there it can be alot of fun. It's a pretty basic RPG-style/hack and slash but if you enjoy LOTR and this genre i don't think you can go wrong at that price. Although, as i have been playing with a friend (which i find can pretty much make any game fun) i may have a different view. It's a pretty basic linear RPG game but if you played any of the previous LOTR series then you'll know what you're getting. There's still alot of potential fun to be had if you don't take it too seriously
It's pretty fun and good for a few playthroughs if you have a friend or two to play it with. While linear and short, I'd say it's worth the money.
I did some video research, and it looks similar to Borderlands in that as you level, you gain skill points you can spend in one of three skill trees. The co-op mode looks decent; you can control your characters separately, and if you talk to a character, your partner will not be dragged into the conversation, so there's some independence. Looks like the only limiting factors could be the linearity that Fhux mentioned and the unpolishedness of it.
Great game for playing with friends, don't expect a triple A title.
Does it have split-screen coop on the PC?
Fucking buy this.
