Some people enjoy building really huge cities without being disturbed.

What's the fucking point of that if they aren't separated. I love a good Sandbox mode but damn, don't let Sandbox modes play with non sandbox modes

People playing on sandbox will only be able to play with others playing sandbox, and they will be in a separate global market as far as I understand it. They are separated from legit players.
Does pressing Alt + O turn off always-on internet...?
That would defeat the purpose of ALWAYS-on internet. And yeah, we know it's shit
well if it disconnects you from the leaderboards this is EA's chance of not fucking up and giving us at least a part of the game playable offline :l

A sandbox player can't play on a normal region, they have to create their own sandbox region for other sandbox players.
