Hey guys, I've been wanting to get a new phone, but unfortunately my parents won't let me get one. I have enough money, so I don't know why they won't let me get a new one. So I was thought that if my phone broke they would let me get one. Which is why I was wondering if there was some way I could internally break it without physical damage. Any ideas? Thanks!
send it to mythbusters
throw it in a bucket of water, it's the most stealth way to kill electronics.
make sure the battery is attached and fully charged, or else the phone will have a high chance of surviving
Put it in the microwave. :smug:
Not involving physical damage. Water shows, microwave shows... I was talking about changing settings so I couldn't recieve calls or something.

Water damage do not show up at all, once it is dried
Say it was an accident.
You can try messing with the settings in the service menu. I don't know how far that will get you, though.
youll probably break the phone and they still wont let you get a new one lol

Aren't there water sensors, like in iPods? Once I'm sure there aren't I'll probably do that.
Have your parents (or you) make some beef stew. Then accidentally drop it in. That's how i got rid of my first shitty phone :c00lbert:
You are an inconsiderate assface for wanting your parents to shell out money for a NEW cell phone

you probably dont even use it cuz you dont have friends op
Thanks for the ideas guys! I might have to go through with those...I'll see what my dad says once I get to his house.
Holy fuckballs does it really matter what mobile phone you have? As long as it can make calls and send texts who the hell cares?

water is a conductor, no matter what magical sensor shuts off the current from the battery , water will still create electrical bridge to all components from the battery.

So your parents open up your phone and check the water sensors, if present?
Maybe u should kill

No, like a piece of paper that changes color when it gets wet. There's one in the headphone slot on iPhone/iPod touches.

I was actually thinking about this the other day and wished that I still had my first cell phone instead of the dare. But the camera and other recording stuff and extra features and shit actually come in handy and are pretty entertaining. So I don't wish for my old phone anymore, although I do miss it.

Oh that kind of "sensor"...
That should be the least of your concern, i doubt your parents will check for that kind of stuff. the strip is usually buried inside of the device
Also just put a needle through the sim card.

oh shit. How did I miss this part? hah sorry, man.

I wish; but verizon doesn't use sim cards.
