Pokemon superstition - General

Is there really a button you can mash that will help you capture a pokemon, or is it just a superstition?

My friends used to tell me to mash A but no matter how much I mash A it never helps :frown:

Mine's Was A+B+Down :frown:

I've never failed to catch a Pokemon :smug:

I heard that holding select while at a certain slot machine got you 777 every time. So many coins lost ;_;

I heard A + Down, then B + Down, then A + B + Down, none of them ever helped though.

It's all just superstition Mine was to the look at the screen (or not at all) in a strange way while holding or tapping some random buttons

It's false but I do it anyway because it feels more likely that way. Sorta like a prayer for the capture to succeed just not as weird sounding as that.

I use to hold A down as hard as I could, just because it felt like it would help.

Works like this. The button thing is a myth. Given this formula, the maximum value for a (if the Pokémon could have 0 HP) would be catch rate × bonusball × bonusstatus. No what you do is the missing no. cheat off of cinnabar island and make sure it multiplys your master ball then you dont need to worry

I mashed A and B way back in Primary school. Never stayed into pokemons, now I'm working and all. It's a shame, I hear the new ones are pretty good.

Hold B + tap down!

I heard Hold A+B Actually seemed to make them break out more often.

ITT: I heard ________ works, but secretly it (did/didn't) work

I hold DOWN + A for capturing and A for right after i attack, when i see the enemy's hp go down. I always thought it helped.
