So they've put actual fur on the dog now?
I hate how it's become so normal now to start releasing a bunch of shit 2+ years before a game's release. Bethesda did this perfectly imo. A short teaser followed quickly by a big reveal 6ish months from launch.
maybe it'll ship without game breaking bugs..
When has a 3d fallout game ever shipped out without game breaking bugs.

It rises and rises and hits a plateau, then the game is released, maintaining this hype. This creates the marketing and ups the sales. It's a win-win for everyone!

It seems like the ball really started rolling after they released that teaser like a century before the game.
Can't wait to play this game, having a feeling its going to contest Grand Theft Autos launch records.
Maybe it will ship with steam workshop this time?
Can't wait to play this game, having a feeling its going to contest Grand Theft Autos launch records.
It is possible to be honest, people are exceptionally excited for Fallout 4. Its a big name, from a well known studio, and its been quite some time now since people saw a new one. It has shown significant advancements and a wealth of new content people honestly didn't imagine would ever be officially added to the game. GTA is a hard record to beat though, it had appeal wider than even Fallout.
When has a 3d fallout game ever shipped out without game breaking bugs.
It's part of the charm, wouldn't feel the same without any bugs.
maybe it'll ship without game breaking bugs..
Preorders are certainly going to suffer, though. As a result of Batman: Arkham Knight's launch and Steam's refund system, people are going to be more careful about preordering, which is a good thing. We'll just have to wait and see if Fallout 4 will perform well on PC. Bethesda's previous launches haven't been exactly flawless.
Maybe they'll ship it early?
Maybe they'll ship it early?
If they were smart, they would use all the time they allocated for themselves to make it as polished as possible. Even if they could release it 3 months early.

Some people straight up pre-ordered copies before they even saw the E3 gameplay. I even know someone who bought multiple copies of the collectors edition, both for themselves.
Bethesda finishing their game?!?!? I don't think they know how to finish a game!

I'd love to buy Fallout 4, but it's insane that it costs like 80 USD (R$250) here, while most releases are 50-40 USD (120-90 BRL). Sadly, I'll have to wait for a big sale so I can hopefully get it for the common release price :suicide:

[editline]26th June 2015[/editline]
fixed your post
Bethesda-made or Bethesda-published Because the former is undeniable but the latter has a few titles.
maybe it'll ship without game breaking bugs..
They could spend all of October scouring the the entire game for bugs, and a few would still get through. I wouldn't get pissed about it though since I can always expect a few bugs from Beth games.
guess only having 4 choices in dialog really speeds up development?
Not really I'm more inclined to preorder if I know I can get my money back, as long as I do it within the timeframe.
You don't have to pre-order within 15 days of release if that's what you mean, the refund time limit only starts counting after the game is released.
Maybe it will ship with steam workshop this time?
Of course it will? Every Bethesda game (Well, New Vegas included although Bethesda didn't develop it) since Fallout 3 shipped with Steamworks.
guess only having 4 choices in dialog really speeds up development?
It's just a more streamlined version of having to click on dialog choices, dunno why it would
guess only having 4 choices in dialog really speeds up development?
Yeah man, I can't really get into the story unless I have a dialog choice for every last key on my keyboard. Anything less is just pointless

I don't think it's especially exclusive to bethesda games
I'm so glad to see that they announced Fallout 4 only recently just a few months before the actual release, having a game in development for a long time can have quite a negative impact on the reputation and community.
Has any game the previous 10 years ever been shipped without bugs? I don't think it's especially exclusive to bethesda games
Bethesda has a reputation for shipping out hilariously bug-ridden games. On top of that, people just like to poke fun at them about it, so really this is to be expected.
