Why? Apple does design some nice user-interfaces, something the PS3 is severely lacking at the moment.

According the patent the reason the the PS3 controller is show is you get information about it and its buttons and it loads it onto your iPhone and you can use your iPhone as a controller for your PS3. Though it didn't really specify PS3 or any other brand name.

I read yesterday that they patented being able to search for apps and stuff on your phone and are winning in non-US countries. Samsung had to release a patch for all their S3's that disabled the search function.
