Shit optimization, that's all
It's boggling that the optimization is somewhat bad on the next-gen and amplified on the PC. The 'new' Infinity Ward must really be completely ignorant in regards to porting.
You can't use fraps with it or it causes lag.
You can't use SLI/Crossfire, or else everything flickers constantly.
The list goes on.
Even with a good PC, it defaults to minimal settings which make it look like Half-Life 1.
This is possibly the worst PC port I have ever played.

They just increased it in order to bolster the idea that their updated engine is of higher spec than it really is.
Or because of their shit new polygon system that is worthless.
Call of Duty is GOTY for sure, right?

Worse then Dark Souls?
[sp]Still love DaS even it is a crappy port[/sp]
Hey, maybe nobody'll buy Ghosts 2 because of this and they'll fix it in Ghosts 3(or alternatively, not port it.)
we'll never have optimisation skills like those from the 90s

You should try Saints Row 2 on PC. :v:
Saints Row 2 on PC fun, it makes driving feel like:

How does this even make a lick of sense? "Oh, you should buy our game, look how high specs you need to run it! It's super-good!"
Wouldn't be able to look as finger-quotes good finger-quotes-end as CoD does and have low requirements be considered even better?
Shit optimization, that's all
Or they just want people to buy it on consoles because of PC piracy. Why else would they put up a big error message of "you can't play this game anyway, don't even try" that has to be fan-fixed despite the game using way less hard drive space and RAM than advertised?
Of course its un-optimised, half of it is copy-pasted from previous games!
this game is a fucking joke
You should try Saints Row 2 on PC. :v:
You should try Deadly Premonition on PC.
It's worse.
I don't even get the point of putting a lock. Why not just let the user have a shot at maybe getting it to run with sub-minimum specs?

Resident Evil 4 is also a contender for worst PC port.
It has no fucking mouse support.

Deadly Premonition is just resolution lock, lack of controller support and occasional crashes, the second biggest of the problems fixed an hour after release.
SR2 and DS are far worse ports.

Metal Gear Solid: Integral has no joystick support, regardless of the fact that it says it does.

At least they patched that in.
The biggest problem with it is the Pre-Rendered cutscenes (despite the gamecube version having real-time ones) and obscenely low textures from the PS2 version.

What are you talking about?
This game still works on Windows 7 and with my 360 Controller out of the box with no problems at all.
Somehow I get the feeling that this will end up being a trend with "next gen console" games.
"COD Ghosts will run on PS4 better than any PC on the market! That's because we fucked up the PC port on purpose!"

Oh please.
Saints row 2:
Runs at 2x Game speed if your CPU isn't at 3.3GHz or higher (due to it being a straight port from Xbox 360 which has a 3.3GHz cpu speed IIRC) And I'm not talking framerate, im talking it being superfast.
Audio quality is worse than the 360 version cause CD Project red used a trial version of the audio program they used.
Likes to crash A LOT.
Driving is terrible on PC.
Still has 360 UI at some places (Weapon menu as an example)
Runs terribly, almost impossible to get 60 FPS constant in the game (I haven't managed to get 60 FPS at any setting with a GTX 670)
Needs a fan made modification to run decently (The guy making it now has a spot on the Saints row 3 & 4 Mod SDK team at Volition, although he doesn't have a job there) and fix the speed issues.
I can keep ranting about the port if needed.

Wait, what do CD Projekt RED have to do with the Saints Row 2 port?
Wait, what do CD Projekt RED have to do with the Saints Row 2 port?
They are responsible for it?
Worse then Dark Souls?

You would expect CoD's developers to know a little bit about porting considering they've been releasing PC games for about ten years now.
Wait, what do CD Projekt RED have to do with the Saints Row 2 port?
They did the port of SR2.
EDIT: seems it was another part of CD Projekt and not the RED team, the point still stands though.

Can't get a stable 60 fps with my 560 ti and AMD X6 1090T. ( Many fps drop in the middle of the map , like Black ops 1 ). I was in ultra in Black ops 2 with more 125+ fps , and now I can't decide if I have to wait for patch , but Iw does really hate us , pc gamer , so we will not probably see any optimisation patch .
The game itself is fun , but the optimisation ruins it.
