Why are people getting pissed when they either could just use adblocker or skip the ad after 5 seconds?
Well, sounds reasonable enough to me.
Good thing they aren't taking the "cease and desist" route and destroying accounts copyright strike after copyright strike, so why all the fuss?

Eh I suppose it's because it seems like they're nicking the videos, however I agree that it really isn't that bad, you shouldn't be making Lps for the money, you should make them because you enjoy it.

What about making profit off of something you enjoy? Unless they end up like the gazillion of machinma people who play games just for getting money, if the person genuinely enjoys playing games and can make money off it, I bet you they would.
Lpers just won't do any nintendo games.

Nothing will prevent LPers from doing nintendo games

Any LPer running a partnered channel will likely just avoid Nintendo games A) Out of principle B) They could spend their time on another series they would get income from.
I have no interest in producing Nintendo content, but if I did I'd probably choose not to out of principle.
LPing for money was always something that weirded me out and kinda shot off red flags when it came to thinking of it legally. Besides that, they're taking the most minimalist action ever, doing nothing but stopping ad revenue. They aren't even touching the videos.
